Michelle Belgiorno-Nettis takes out Ladies Day at Manly Yacht Club

The Ladies day race on Sunday the 24th March was hosted by Manly Yacht club with a three lap course set at the northern end of Sydney Harbour and running South West to Sow and Pigs and the Obelisk YA mark. The next lap saw the 30 odd boat fleet venturing into Balmoral for a quick visit to Middle Harbour. The third lap went to Obelisk again with a finish at North Harbour-Manly.
On board were a talent studded team under the Helm of Michelle Belgiorno-Nettis. On main was Australia’s woman Silver medallist in the Olympics Match racing Olivia Price, Susan Crafer trimming, Karen Ewels on bow, Alexandra Deakin on mast, Haylee Outridge on brace and sisters Alanna and Georgia Clancy float, Abbey Gazzard in the Pit, Clair White on Kicker. Bec Hughes was navigator backing up the token male on the boat – Mitch White doing tactics.
The Transfusion team took line honours, was the fastest yacht, won overall Handicap and won its division. A resounding success to match the record of the Transfusion team during this seasons Farr 40 Circuit and Australian Championships.
