“I would like to acknowledge Martin’s leadership of the class during his tenure as the Australian President, and all the great work he has done for the fleet.” said Guido. “I offer myself as a candidate for the Australian Class Presidency at the next AGM. Until that time, as acting President I look forward to continuing the drive to improve the Australian Class activity so that all owners will thoroughly enjoy their sailing. More importantly, I aim to increase participation with a new schedule of sailing including state championships in Tasmania, Qld and NSW. Martin and I are looking forward to travelling to Hobart and Brisbane with our respective crews to compete in these inaugural events. We hope other owners will also join us at these interstate events. My Transfusion team also looks forward to joining Lang Walker’s Kokomo team in competing in the Farr 40 Worlds in Chicago in September this year.”
Meanwhile, Martin will continue to be active in the Farr 40 class, retaining his role as International Class President. He will be campaigning with Lisa and their Estate Master team at the Newcastle Regatta, QLD & Tasmanian States Titles, as well as the Sydney regattas.
